This was my ex-girlfriend's car for about 6 years, and I bought it from her last fall. She had taken decent care of the basics (Oil changes, brakes, etc.), but it needed some work. Binding AWD was solved with some fresh transmission fluid and filter. Alignment was out of whack, so I got that straightened and some "new" tires on it.
So, details. '96 Outback wagon. AWD, Automatic, power windows/locks/mirrors, 180k miles on chassis
'94 Legacy 2.2. About 20k on timing belt/water pump replacement, about 220k total.
Draw-tite trailer hitch (only used for bike rack)
Alpine stereo with 30-pin iPod/iPhone connector
It has some cosmetic issues, rust spots (rear fender, driver's side is pretty bad), scuffs/scrapes on the bumpers, cracked windshield
Check Engine light is on due to lack of EGR valve with the swap.
This car runs and drives fantastically. I wouldn't hesitate to hop in it, set the cruise, and take off across country in it.
